When is a roof replacement the right call?

How long does a roof replacement take?

Do you take away the old roof?
Yes. Complete removal and responsible disposal of all old roofing material is included in every replacement quote.
Do I need council approval to change from tile to metal?
For most homes it's exempt development in NSW. Heritage areas and some zones have specific rules. We confirm what applies to your property as part of the quote.
Can you add insulation during the replacement?
Yes, and it's the perfect time: new sarking is standard, and an insulation blanket under metal roofing noticeably cuts summer heat and rain noise.
What happens if you find damaged timber under the old roof?
We quote any structural repairs before proceeding, with photos, never as a surprise on the final invoice. Minor batten replacement is common and inexpensive.
Will my solar panels be a problem?
No. We coordinate removal and reinstallation with accredited solar installers and build it into the schedule and quote.
Should I replace the gutters at the same time as the roof?
Usually yes. Old gutters on a new roof fail first and look it. Doing both means the whole water system is new, flashings integrate properly, and you save on access costs by combining the work.
Can you replace just one section of the roof?
Sometimes. Partial re-roofs make sense for extensions or isolated damage where the rest of the roof has life left. We'll be honest about colour-matching limits against weathered sheets and whether a partial truly saves money long term.
